WordPress has so many terms that are used in all WordPress tutorials. WordPress newbie’s always confused about these WordPress terms and always looking for the correct answers to know more about WordPress and its glossary terms. So I decided to create a post which will explain about WordPress glossary terms and uses of the each and every term that used in WordPress tutorials. Admin area is the first term in WordPress glossary and let’s discuss it.
What is Admin Area?
Admin area is the Administrator or owner area of a WordPress website. It provides access to several WordPress functions and tools. Admin area (dashboard) is the first visible screen when you log in to your WordPress website. Normally you can access this Admin area by adding /wp-admin at the end of your website URL.
For example www.example.com/wp-admin
Who can access admin area?
An administrator has full rights to access the all functions in the admin area for a WordPress powered website. Users with other roles such as contributor, editor and author have very limited access to the admin area.
